Pau Gasol presented the J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship Award before Game 3 for outstanding service and dedication (notably his work with UNICEF)  to the community. Metta World Peace won the award last year for his work in raising awareness on mental health and also raising money for mental health charities.

It should be an honor for any player to have the opportunity to give back and to make the community better, be a role model to all the other kids and people. I think it’s very important when you have that opportunity, you take advantage of it. You maximize it.” —Pau Gasol on receiving the award
